Recovery of KIA at FSB Illingworth
A very close friend of mine, Michael Kilgore, has posted a comment about the recovery of bodies on Illingworth. Here is the comment that Mike posted:
After mortars left LZ Illingworth the next day who recovered the remains of
Casey Waller from Recon or was he ever found. I left from LZ Mary in February.

For years we thought that Casey Waller was listed as missing in action. I had always thought that he was buried under the large pile of dirt from the 8 inch ammo explosion. If you were involved in the recovery of bodies at Illingworth or if you know of someone who was involved with this, please contact me and let me know what took place. Also, I would love to include the story of the recovery of bodies in the book that Jerry Granberg and I are writing about the battle on FSB Illingworth.
